Host terms

In effect from 27 October 2026

These terms apply to hosts on Nestinga, together with the Terms of service, between the host and Nestinga, South Civil Lines, Roorkee, District Haridwar, Uttarakhand 247667, India. The owner of a host account accepts them for the host and everyone in its team.

1. Who can host

Hosts give their business details, or say that they host as a private individual. Consumer law in India and the EU requires us to show them to guests on every listing, so they must be true and kept up to date. Hosts confirm that they only offer services that comply with the law where they take place and, where it applies, the law where their guests live. We may ask for documents to verify a host and show a verified badge.

2. Listings

  1. Listings must be accurate, complete and lawful, with photos and text the host has the right to use, and prices and terms that are what the guest will actually get.
  2. Nestinga reviews listings before they go live and may review them again after edits.
  3. Listings may not offer anything illegal where it takes place, including controlled substances (for example ayahuasca or psilocybin where they are prohibited), and may not break section 7 of the Terms of service.
  4. We may take a listing down if it breaks the law or these terms (takedown notices cite the clause numbers in these terms), with a statement of reasons and a way to challenge it.

3. Plans and fees

  1. Hosting is free on the Free plan. Paid plans, with their prices, billing periods (a month or a year) and benefits, are shown on the Plan page in the host portal. Benefits can include a Featured badge, the host's listings first on the home page and in search results (where guests don't choose another order), more live listings, and enquiries sent straight to the host. On plans where enquiries are checked, Nestinga reads each enquiry first and passes it on only if it's genuine.
  2. Plan fees are paid in advance. Until online payment is available, the host pays as Nestinga explains (for example by bank transfer) and the plan starts when Nestinga records the payment. A renewal on the same plan starts when the current period ends.
  3. When a paid plan ends, the host moves to the Free plan. If the host then has more live listings than its plan allows, the newest are paused (never deleted) until the host upgrades or chooses which stay live.
  4. Fees aren't refundable once a period has started, except where the law requires, or if Nestinga ends the plan without the host breaking these terms, in which case we refund the unused part.
  5. We may change plans and prices; changes apply from the next period and we announce them at least 30 days ahead. Prices are in the currency shown and include any taxes stated at payment.
  6. Nestinga takes no commission on bookings. Prices are shown to guests as the host sets them.

4. Payments

Guests pay the host directly, in the way the host chooses: by arranging it after an enquiry, through the host's payment link, or through the host's own payment account. Nestinga doesn't take, hold or pass on guests' money and isn't a party to the payment. The host is responsible for taking the payment, receipts and invoices, taxes (including GST where it applies), refunds under the cancellation policy shown on the listing, and any chargebacks.

5. Bookings and guests

  1. Answer booking requests within 48 hours; unanswered requests are declined automatically. How quickly a host answers is shown on their listings.
  2. Honour the cancellation policy shown at booking. If the host cancels, the guest gets a full refund.
  3. Bookings the host adds by hand are the host's to settle, including any refund.
  4. Answer enquiries in good time, and agree the dates, the price and the cancellation terms with the guest in writing before asking for payment.

6. Guests' personal data

Hosts receive guests' details to run the booking (names, contact details, answers to registration questions, which can include health information), and the email and phone of guests who send an enquiry, which those guests agree to share. For that data the host is responsible on its own account (a Data Fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and a controller under the GDPR where it applies): it must use it only for the booking or enquiry, keep it safe, limit its team's access, and delete it when it's no longer needed. Hosts may not use guests' details for marketing without the guest's separate consent.

7. Safety and compliance

Hosts are responsible for safety, insurance, permits, licences, taxes and the qualifications of whoever leads a retreat or event, and for telling guests about any health requirements or risks before they book.

8. Reviews

Hosts may reply to reviews once and report a review to Nestinga; they may not write, buy or pressure reviews.

9. Suspension and ending

We may suspend a host that breaks these terms or the law: its listings go offline and existing bookings stand. Hosts can stop hosting at any time; bookings already made must be honoured or cancelled with a full refund.

10. Changes

We'll tell hosts before these terms change; the owner accepts the new version in the host portal.
